Plumbers and Heating Engineers Switch On IntraLearn

The Learning Business uses IntraLearn to help bridge industry’s skills shortage

London, UK, November 24, 2003 -- IntraLearn Europe Ltd. of Guernsey, England, the European subsidiary of IntraLearn Software Corporation, the leading supplier of configurable e-Learning software applications to the mid-market, announced today an agreement with The Learning Business, a UK content publisher, to use IntraLearn LSP to host online specialist courses services for the plumbing and heating profession.
The Learning Business has developed the site at www.beaplumber.com for the Plumbing, Heating and Gas Group (PH&GG), an organization set up by the Learning and Skills Council (Coventry & Warks) to address the industry's expected skills shortage. Members can choose from a constantly developing range of online courses covering product and technical training as well as business and interpersonal skills. As Mark Parrish, Managing Director of The Learning Business explains: “Current product and technical training that ‘grabs’ the learner is an invaluable resource. IntraLearn understood immediately what we wanted to do and the platform has enabled us to manage the delivery of our specialist content efficiently.”

In parallel, The Learning Business is creating a customized solution for the Graham Group, one of the UK’s largest plumbers’ merchants. Both learning sites are hosted in the UK by IntraLearn Europe’s partner, Traineasy Ltd., who provides an ASP service to content publishers and corporations.
